One of the common problems with continued use of the iPhone is a flickering display. Most often, users of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S models encounter it, but the relatively new iPhone 6 is prone to this ailment.
It looks something like this:
If the problem is hardware in nature, then no tricks and tricks will help. Electronics has the ability to fail, there is nothing left to do but accept this fact. In this case, you must contact an authorized Apple service center and change the display to a new one. The procedure is not cheap, but buying a new smartphone will still be more expensive. It is important to remember that the guarantee for Apple devices under Russian law is two years, not a year, as in the rest of the world. Read more about this in our article.
But before setting aside money for repairs, try several ways to restore normal display functionality. Suddenly, you are lucky, and the problem is not iron, but software.

The first thing to do in case of any problem with iOS devices is to make sure that the latest version of iOS is installed. Apple regularly makes changes to its mobile operating system. Journalists and users pay attention only to noticeable interface changes, but any iOS update contains many changes “under the hood” of the system that fix old bugs (and add new ones).
If your device is already running on the latest version of iOS, and the display continues to flicker, then try turning on lower transparency. The corresponding item is in the “Settings” > “Basic” > “Universal access” > “Increase the contrast.” In this menu, try also to enable the “White point reduction” setting.
The second possible solution to the problem lies in the display settings. Go to Settings > “Screen and brightness”, turn off the automatic brightness adjustment. Force reboot the device by holding down the power button and the Home key (volume rocker down if you have an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus). If the problem persists, then try to restore the device to the factory settings.
To do this, connect it to your computer, open iTunes, in the device’s tab, select “Restore iPhone”.
If this does not help, then there is nothing left but to turn to a service center for help.
