We disassemble the Lenovo IdeaPad B560, clean it from dust and change the thermal grease.
To disassemble the laptop, we first need to remove the battery from the laptop case. We put the latches in the open position and remove the battery.
Then, remove the cover. To remove it, unscrew the five screws that are marked in the photo.
Get rid of the DVD drive. Unscrew the screw that secures the drive and then take the drive out. In an empty opening, where the drive used to be, we notice three screws that need to be unscrewed to disassemble the laptop case. These screws are perfectly visible in the picture, which is located just below.
Looking at the next photo and unscrewing the screw indicated in the photo, you can remove the laptop hard drive. You can remove it by pulling to the side, grabbing the special tongue. When you get to this process, you will intuitively understand which tongue to tackle and which way to pull.
Now, you need to disassemble the laptop case. To do this, unscrew the screws that are marked in the lower pictures.
You need to unfasten the antenna wires from the wireless module. The module itself can then be removed by unscrewing the mounting screws.
Now, it’s worth turning over our laptop. Open its LCD. This will allow us to begin the process of removing the laptop keyboard. But first, you need to remove the plastic decorative overlay above the keyboard. Gently pry it with a suitable tool. In turn, we snap out the latches on which this pad is attached.

Under the removed pad there will be screws that secure the keyboard. Unscrew them and raise the keyboard as shown in the lower pictures. Turn off the keyboard cable. Now, just remove the keyboard.
Under the keyboard there are several screws and cables. We turn off the screws and turn off the cables. But, unfortunately, it still does not work to remove the upper part of the case. There is another screw that we need to unscrew. Finding it is easy. We turn the laptop over and near the sticker you can see a screw in the back of the case. Turn it off. If my explanations are not clear, look at the picture below.
Now, you can easily remove the top cover.
When the cover is removed, proceed to disconnect the wires and loops. Look at the photo, and you will understand which wires and loops I mean.
To clean the cooling system of this laptop, you will need to remove the motherboard. To do this, unscrew the four screws marked on the photo.
Carefully remove the motherboard from the laptop. Turn the motherboard over. In order to remove the cooling system from the motherboard, unscrew the three screws, which are marked in red.
Now, we can safely take care of cleaning the cooling system from dust.
Pay attention to the bottom photo. On it, I marked the place where you want to erase the old thermal grease. After the cooling system is cleaned, it must be put in place. We apply new thermal grease to the place I marked and fasten the cooling system.
