While the first customers carefully removed the film from the newly unpacked iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, the guys from the TechSmartt YouTube channel decided to test two new flagships for durability.
They decided to conduct the traditional drop test visually, so last year’s flagship iPhone X also took part in the test.
According to Apple, the new iPhones have “the toughest safety glass the company has ever installed.”
The test was carried out according to the classical scheme: falling from the level of the belt. in a situation when you accidentally drop the smartphone while taking out their jeans pocket; from a height of your head. when someone pushes you and you were talking on the phone at that moment; fall from a height of three meters.
Height is about 1 meter. When falling from the height of a trouser pocket, none of the smartphones received serious damage. The blogger noted that the steel frame of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max has become significantly stronger than the iPhone X.

The iPhone X display immediately covered with a mesh. The impact of the fall on the iPhone XS Max is less significant, but, nevertheless, the display cracked.
Height is about 3 meters. Perhaps this is the moment for which it was worth the test.
iPhone X suffered serious damage due to a blow, the iPhone XS Max display became covered with a mesh and began to flicker hysterically.
iPhone XS is worth a tribute. A fall from such an impressive height did not cause any damage. Both glasses of the smartphone remained intact!
Of course, the test is very subjective. It all depends on how the smartphone falls: on the edge, on the back or the front face.
But one conclusion can be made: Apple has not deceived. Both the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are much better protected than the iPhone X. Smartphones actually have more durable glass.
