How to Sync Icloud Drive With a Computer

You can use iCloud to automatically synchronize photos, files, calendar and other content on all devices that are signed in with your Apple ID. (You can even use a Windows PC to access iCloud data stored on iCloud.com.) Other services, such as Apple Music, provide access to additional content on your devices. If you use iCloud and services such as Apple Music, you don’t need to sync.

If you do not want to use iCloud or other services, you can connect your iPad to a Mac or Windows PC and synchronize the following types of objects:

albums, songs, playlists, films, television shows, podcasts, books and audio books;

contacts and calendars.

Synchronization helps keep this data up to date on your computer and iPad.
