– If you have as on option 2, then it can still work, it is not necessary to replace it. Even if you replace it, the difference may be only a few degrees.
– If you have as in option 3. a replacement is necessary. The time through which the thermal pad material can come to such a state depends on the material itself, on average after about 3-4 years, although it can after 1 year.
